Shawn Keough has been a Republican member of the Idaho Senate since 1996 and is representing the 1st District. She is married to Mike Keough and is a mother to two: Bryan and Daniel.[1]
Early Life & Career
She was raised in Kootenai, Idaho and attended Lewis Clark State College in Business Management and North Idaho College. She has been Executive Director and Associated Logging Contractor since 2000. She has been in the Idaho State Senate since 1996 and currently represents District 1.[2]
Elections
- 1996- Won election with 59.1% of the vote against Tim Tucker (D).
- 1998- Re-elected with 9,957 votes.
- 2000- Won election with 11,413 votes (73.4%) against Steve Johnson (D) with 3,635 votes and Frank Reichert (L) with 496 votes.
- 2002- Won election with 71.6% of the votes against Gary L. Pietsch (D).
- 2004- Won election with 75.1% of the votes against Patty “Douglas” Palmer (D).
- 2006- Won election with 68.57% of the votes against Jim Ramsey (D).
- 2008- Won election with 15,322 votes against Donald T. Heckel (R).[3]
- 2010- Won election with 8539 votes against Steve Tanner (R).[4]
